Was in town for work and stumbled across this place. The beers were cold and never empty long. I got the special they had which was the French onion soup burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had. I then decided to try the hot dog version and it was awesome as well. The garlic cheese curds were also dam good. Hoping my employer gets more jobs in this area so I can go back. I like that they donate part of your meal cost to animal shelters. I gave them some extra just for the animals.
Creative flair for old time classics. Too many to describe. But the daily special garlic was delicious. Maple cream cheese with my fries was a good surprise. Good music but couldn't hear it too much over the crowd. I will be back maybe after a show next door.
The food was outstanding. The best burgers I have had in Appleton. The French Onion Burger was great! Great cocktail and beer selection. When you realize that the entire place is run by three people hustling like crazy you can truly appreciate the good service. Also the cleanest bathrooms I have seen in a local pub. I will absolutely go here again to satisfy my need for a good burger!
The overall experience was great! The Garlic cheese curds were tasty. I loved the sweet potato fries and my burger was excellent. The service was really good as was the atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
Home Burger Bar is a cool place that slings inventive burgers in addition to the basics. They do the same thing with hot dogs, too. Can't wait to try another. If you try one as well, I'm pretty sure what you'll say, "Now, that's a tasty burger..." Bomb curds and friendly folks, too.
Angry Badger was absolutely delicious my only critique is to add pickles. Fries were hot and crispy and the Garlic Cheese Curds were delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Omg this place is amazing. The staff are extremely friendly. I tried the pb&j burger with truffle fries and it was great. My son got the basic 1/4 hot dog and garlic cheese curds and could barely finish it all. The prices are very affordable. Will be going back
Home of the Burgers absolutely lives up to its name. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. You can taste that true old-school diner quality in every bite. One big plus, they add green onions on the burger, and it makes such a difference. That fresh, slightly sharp flavor cuts through the richness and gives it a unique twist you don’t see everywhere. It’s a small detail, but it really sets them apart. The fries were hot and crispy, service was friendly and fast, and the whole place has that nostalgic, hometown vibe that makes you want to come back again and again. If you’re craving a classic burger done right, this is the spot. Definitely 5 stars.
My wife and I were downtown for a Christmas event and decided to have a lunch date beforehand. We had not been a fan of the downtown atmosphere in the past. Wow, did Home Burger Bar change our minds on that! The staff was very friendly and chatty with all of the customers, they had great attitudes! They have a local beers menu so we were kinda into that and they were tasty! The burgers my wife and I had were absolutely amazing! I normally order mine medium and was told the staff cooks all the way through so no pink in the middle, I thought to myself, well this ought to be fun… Well it was juicy and delicious, I was 100% wrong! The pretzel bun was another thing, I’ve normally had hard, dry pretzel buns at other restaurants so was a bit apprehensive when I saw the burgers were served on pretzel buns. Oh my, the bun was soft and full of flavor! We will be back and hope this helps others in deciding on a great burger joint with local beers and amazing atmosphere!
We have been wanting to try this bar for over a year now and I’m so happy we finally did! They were always so busy, and now we understand why. Staff was super nice and efficient as heck with how many people they have to serve. The burgers were SO GOOD. We can’t wait to go back and try some different kinds on our next date night. Also so affordable?? 11/10, can’t recommend it enough ((:
